School FAQs

Answers for international schools about submitting vacancies, requesting shortlists, candidate screening, confidential enquiries and how PIT Recruitment handles candidate data.

Founder confirmation required: The precise scope of candidate screening carried out by PIT Recruitment, and all commercial terms, are business decisions to be confirmed before launch and are agreed in writing with each school.

How do we submit a vacancy?

Use the vacancy submission form on this site. Tell us the role, the curriculum, the phase or subject, the start date and anything that makes the post distinctive. A member of the team will come back to you to confirm the brief before we begin sourcing.

What is a shortlist request?

A shortlist request is for schools that want candidate profiles for a defined role. We agree the brief with you, source and screen against it, and send you profiles with our assessment of fit rather than an unfiltered list.

Can we speak to someone before committing to anything?

Yes. Request a consultation and we can discuss timing, how to position a role and what candidates typically ask about a destination. There is no obligation attached to that conversation.

What do candidate profiles include?

Profiles set out qualifications, curriculum and phase or subject experience, availability and destination preferences, together with the candidate's CV where the candidate has agreed to be put forward for the role.

Internal recruiter notes are never shared with schools or with candidates.

How are qualifications screened?

We check the qualifications and experience a candidate presents against the requirements of your brief, and we ask for documentation and references as part of that process.

Screening carried out by PIT Recruitment does not replace your own pre-employment checks. Schools remain responsible for their own safer-recruitment procedures, verification and hiring decisions.

What does the recruitment process look like?

In outline: brief agreed, sourcing and screening, shortlist delivered, interviews coordinated, school decision, then onboarding support while the candidate works through the school's own process.

How is candidate data handled?

Candidate information is stored securely and shared with a school only in connection with a role the candidate has applied for or agreed to be put forward for. CV files are held in private storage and access by our team is logged.

Can an enquiry be confidential?

Yes. If a post is not yet public, or a replacement search is sensitive, tell us at the outset and we will handle the enquiry confidentially.

What are your fees and commercial terms?

Commercial terms are agreed directly with each school and are subject to a written agreement. They are not published on this website.

Who makes the hiring decision?

The school does, in every case. We support the process with sourcing, screening, shortlisting and coordination, but selection, offer and appointment rest with you.

How do we contact PIT Recruitment?

Use the contact form on this site, or the vacancy, shortlist or consultation forms if your enquiry relates to a specific need. Enquiries are routed to our recruitment team.
